In business, every conversation is a presentation: every mail, every phone call, every meeting. Once, this was mainly face-to-face. However, thanks to Covid19, we had to adapt. The solution: We make it digital. However, presenting in a digital setting - be it formal or informal, internal or external - changed the rules. Now, being skilled in public speaking is not just a nice-to-have but a must-have. Public speaking has become an essential skill. Mumbling, speaking in a monotonous voice, or merely reading from slides isn't acceptable or professional. 

 

Only a few chosen are born natural public speakers. Most of us have to learn how to convey our message precisely, concisely, and confidently, whether it's a regular team meeting, a major sales pitch, or a B2B fair.

 

And then there are all the other issues - background, technical issues, our slides - that we must consider. And although we think we know, many of us come across as unprofessional just because they don't follow simple rules.
